A Simple Health Check Guide for Lung Health

Living with lung disease opens up opportunities to take charge of your health. Let's explore a health checkup guide designed to help you thrive and maintain your well-being as you focus on your lung health.

Lung Health Checklist

This checklist is here to help you feel your best every day! We'll discuss easy and effective ways to boost your energy and make the most of life. Let's dive in and start feeling awesome together!

Breathing Check

Keep an eye on your breathing. Count silently to four on the inhale and six on the exhale.  Repeat for a few cycles.  Don’t force it, and if you lose count, gently start over.

Meds Check

Make sure you're taking your medications as directed. Keep them organized and check the expiration dates. If something feels off, talk to your doctor.

Move Your Body

Try to get moving every day. Start slow and build up your activity level. Think walking, light weights, or even dancing in your room.

Safe Space

Make sure your home is comfy and safe. Keep it clean and free of dust or smoke. Consider using air filters.

Feeling Good

Pay attention to your mood. If you're feeling down, talk to someone you trust or seek help from a counselor.

Talk to Your Coach

Keep in touch with your Wellinks coach & health care providers. Schedule regular check-ups and share any concerns you have about your health.

Be Prepared

Know what to do in case of emergencies. Keep important numbers handy and have your rescue meds nearby.

Get Some Sleep

Good sleep is super important. Try to stick to a bedtime routine and make your sleeping area cozy.

By monitoring these things, you'll better control your COPD and feel your best. Don't hesitate to ask for help whenever you need it!
