Introducing Cinch, our first product for scoliosis braces, launching Spring 2017.
Scoliosis is characterized by a lateral curvature in the spine, and affects 1 in 10 kids in the US. Kids typically have to wear a hard plastic back brace until they stop growing, which can take 2-4 years. It's hard to keep track of how tight or how long the brace is on, but research has shown that it's important to wear the brace as much as possible.
Our patent-pending straps allow kids, parents, and doctors to tell how long and how tight the brace is being worn, and track that data over time. Now everyone involved in treatment can keep track of how patients are doing.
You can use the Cinch app to connect to the straps via Bluetooth. Download the data to your smartphone and instantly see if you are meeting your goals. Patients and families can track treatment information, see their prescription, and send encouragement.
The web application also allows doctors, nurses, and orthotists to check up on their patients between visits. The app automatically uploads all the data online, so doctors can get an up-to-date snapshot of how their patients are doing between visits. Doctors can view all of their patients at a glance, or view and print detailed reports of individual patients.
